Jean Guillard, CARRTEL

Research Engineer (INRAE) (HDR), Jean Guillard is a specialist in the use of acoustic methods for the study of fish populations in aquatic ecosystems. His research is conducted within the framework of methodological approaches on the use of these methods (e.g. impact of the frequency of use, development of an autonomous device, acoustic camera...) but also in the field of fisheries ecology (population dynamics, study of behavior, stock estimates...). His recognized expertise in the field has led him to work in a variety of ecosystems, both marine and estuarine and of course lakes, the latter being at the heart of the themes of his laboratory UMR CARRTEL (INRAE - UMSB). Former Director of the UMR, he has throughout his career carried out in parallel an activity at the service of the collective (deputy director of the UMR, deputy director of the Pôle R&D ECLA OFB - INRAE -USMB, carriers of projects of collective interest...) and the direction of research projects on fish populations in lacustrine ecosystems (stress ecology, population dynamics, halieutic ecology...).
